OUR TREE CUTTING SERVICES
Crown Lift
We selectively remove and prune lower branches to achieve a more balanced crown.
Crown Reduction
We reduce the canopy to create balance. Removing weight improves the overall aesthetics of the tree.
Crown Thinning
We remove secondary and tertiary limbs, crossing limbs and damaged limbs leaving sound primary growth and allowing light through.
Deadwood Removal
We take dead limbs from within the canopy to make the tree safe and improve the overall aesthetics of the canopy.
Tree Pruning
We remove dead or diseased parts of the tree to promote the health of the tree and surrounding plants, and to prevent disease. We recommend you do this annually.
Tree Removal
We can remove any size tree entirely, with specialist machinery and knowledge.
Tree Reports
We will provide you with our assessment of the health of your trees, as well as recommended works.
Stump Grinding
We use specialist machinery to grind stumps down into mulch.
Hedge Trimming
We reduce and shape hedges. We recommend you do this annually.
Pollarding
We remove or reduce the canopy back to the hard timber to promote epicormic growth and the growth of a new crown. This can prolong the life of your veteran or damaged trees.
Re-pollarding
We remove all epicormic growth on existing pollards. This is especially beneficial to fruit trees to increase yield.
Planting and Landscaping
We will work with you to create a planting plan, suitable for your design, position and soil. We work with trusted partner Ian Wheeler (Level Scape) for our landscaping service.
WHAT DOES A TREE SURGEON DO?
Trees need to be maintained to prolong their healthy life. A qualified tree surgeon does this by carefully cutting and pruning branches and managing diseases, pests and rot.
Tree surgery work includes hazard assessments, branch or tree removals, and maintenance. Many tree services require specialist access, training, and equipment, so should not be attempted by unqualified and uninsured tradespeople or homeowners.
WHO SHOULD GET TREE SURGERY DONE?
Anyone responsible for a tree on their property. You can avoid the worries of your roots or branches damaging people or property by taking proactive tree care to prune, trim, or remove dangerous trees and limbs.
The most common reason for calling a tree surgeon is that a tree is diseased or dying. Our surgeons will trim and prune your tree to encourage new growth wherever possible.
Without regular maintenance, trees may grow too tall and become hazardous or block light to a property. Teeling Tree Services have worked with many tree officers across Hampshire and West Sussex to ensure work goes ahead with the correct permissions and paperwork (especially when there is a TPO in place).
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO HAVE WORK DONE ON TREES?
Our tree surgeons operate all-year-round and will advise on the best time to carry out routine maintenance (and avoid impact on your tree’s growth).
There is no absolute best time of year to prune your tree, as each tree will have individual needs. But, in general, late winter and early spring pruning will give the tree time to recover before new growth.

HERE’S HOW CUSTOMERS THINK WE ARE A CUT ABOVE:
Mark B
Home owner
Nick was employed by me to undertake some tree work at my cottage in Froxfield.
Before the work was carried out, he came up twice to make sure he was aware of all aspects of the job. On the day he arrived on time with his team of two other men. They worked tirelessly throughout the day and make a really good job of reducing and reshaping the trees. It was a difficult job, but they carried out very professionally and I remain most pleased with the result. All the branches were chipped and taken away, the lumber stacked neatly, and the site left very tidy.
Since that first job he has carried out other work for me which again has been done really well. Nick is a most knowledgeable man, passionate about the service he provides, and he is an extremely pleasant man to deal with as are the other men that help him.
I have recommended Nick and his team to other people in the area, and they too have been most pleased with the work that Nick has done.
I would not hesitate to recommend him for further work.”
